  • They want to have “just one litter” before having their pet spayed. Backyard breeders have been considered important contributors to pet overpopulation.
  • They already have a list of people who want puppies. If you know people who do want one, send them to a local animal shelter where many puppies are hopefully waiting for someone to give them a forever home.

Cats are fastidious creatures and spend a considerable part of their waking hours grooming themselves. However, there are times when your fur ball needs to be given a bath. Cats need to get used to being bathed while still very young so they will get used to the routine. Here are some tips to make bath time easier:

  • If your kitty hates shower spray, use a large cup to pour water over him.
  • For easy and faster drying of your pet’s hairs, try to get your kitty used to a hair dryer set on low speed. This will come in handy when you have a long-haired kitty. Remember though not to brush your pet’s hair until completely dry.
  • A diluted cream rinse may be rubbed in after the first rinsing, although this is not really necessary.

As a dog owner, you should be well aware that not everyone wants to automatically pet your overly-friendly dog and for those that don’t, are probably frightened out of their wits.

There are more people that are dog owners than there are people that truly fear dogs, some of the people that are afraid of dogs have had a bad experience with a dog at some point and the fear that grips them when they are being approached by a dog is serious and terrorizing.

It is showing a lot of respect when you are out walking your dog and you are approaching a person, to step aside and allow that person to have full access to the sidewalk, just in case the ... Read more »
