It’s all the rave, puzzle feeders for cats are becoming extremely popular and for good reason, they provide a healthy stimulation exercise for cats to be able to work a little harder for their treats.

Puzzle feeders are basically a maze of challenges for your cat, when you sprinkle treats in and around the puzzle feeder, your cat has to figure out how to manipulate its paws in order to scoop out a treat.

Believe it or not, this feeder has had huge success in keeping cats stimulated for longer periods of time and also the level of enjoyment for the cats is very apparent when they are utilizing it.

If your cat has too much time on its paws and needs more activity in its life, or you want to enhance your cats daily activities by forcing it to work a little bit for its treats, then a puzzle feeder is your solution. For more information, go ahead and check out the website for the vet clinic Jacksonville.

Your older dog is never done learning. It observes and learns every single day. Maybe not tricks, but life itself, and all by living with you.

Of course you can teach your aging dog a new trick. It may take a bit longer than usual, but your dog will get there eventually.

An older dog is already up to par on its training and it will recall (even though it has been awhile) how to learn and respond to a new command word. Better this than training a puppy. A puppy is far more hyper and lacks real focus, so trick learning can be a challenge, to say the least. SO hurry and visit us at animal hospital fayette county ky

If you have ever (even as a kid) tried to squeeze into a space so small that would have been seen as unbelievable…you found out fast enough that it was your shoulders that stopped you.

Obviously, your shoulders stick out beyond the size of your head and your hips (hopefully) and this is what prevents you from getting into tight spaces. If you could dislocate your shoulders (don’t), do you know that it would allow you to pass through that small space? Your cat’s shoulders are positioned as if they are dislocated, which is known as “free floating”. This is how your cat can squeeze into such small spaces. If its head (which is the biggest part of its body) fits, everything else will, unless it has a weight problem. Find out more at this website of the vet Bainbridge Island.

When your cat jumps into your lap or requests to be picked up…if your cat’s eyes are slightly closed or squinting at you, you should deeply acknowledge and savor this moment. Your cat is conveying how much it cares for you in that moment and is showing appreciation for all that you do to care for it.

Your cat rubbing itself against you is only showing that it owns you by marking you with its scent. It is the closeness and the squinty eyes that really portray just how much your cat adores you and its gratefulness for the life you provide for it. Pay a visit to this site of the veterinarian Bainbridge Island for more info.

Your dog is oblivious to the passing of minutes or hours. All’s it knows is the Sun rising is the beginning of the day and the Sun setting is the ending of the day. Everything in-between is lost on a dog, so when training commences, do not implement anything that requires a time of day.

The lack of acknowledgement of passing time stems all the way back to before dogs became domesticated. A dog that is domesticated can learn a great deal of things, but time is not one of them. Sleep, waking, meals served through the sun-up time…that’s all your dog focuses on. Follow this link to the site for the veterinarian Poulsbo to know more info.

Would you believe that your dog actually needs (inbred instinct) to urinate and defecate facing north and south? It seems a little crazy, but it is true. The “compass issue” also takes place at night when your dog circles its bed. It is locating true north and will make sure its head is facing directly north when it lays down.

There is a driven instinct within your dog to do this compass-searching, and it does stem back to the time when dogs were not yet domesticated. The need to find north and south just to use the facilities is proof that your dog is a pretty smart one, even though you may have had occasional doubts. You are the one thing in your cat’s life that is constantly influencing it.

Your lifestyle, foods that you eat, your environment, visitors that you may have to the home and how you care for your cat….where it sits in the priority list.

Poor diet, lack of exercise, no visitors, dirty house and hygiene issues will all reflect onto your cat and inadvertently make your cat live the same lifestyle.

A great diet, lots of exercise (hopefully playing with your cat), many visitors (that also play with your cat) a clean house and of course, good hygiene will set a better standard for your cat and it will follow suit automatically because that is a healthy environment for your cat to be in.

Re-set your standards if you do not feel they are up to par, it is never too late to enhance your life or your environment, because after all, you do share it. Click on this link to find out more at this website for the vete ... Read more »

When your cat fans out its whiskers, it is absorbing a great deal of information, through all twenty four of them via a whole slew of nerves.

The most important function of your cat’s whiskers is, they scan the immediate area for depth, space and distance, creating the visual third dimension that your cat cannot see with its eyes.

Everything in your cats field of vision is all in two dimension or flat-looking, so in order for your cat to be able to process the three dimensional world that it knows exists all around it, it relies on the properly functioning whiskers that lay on its face.

When they are fluffed out, your cat is scanning the area and drawing a mental image of what its eyes are not seeing and that is how your cat is able to get around nicely in a three dimensional world. Please follow this link, if you will, to this website for the veterinary clinic Oceanway. You can learn more there.
