A kiddie pool has a dual purpose. A way to cool off your kids and your dog. The pools is just a means to cool off (this is what you have to tell the kids when they complain about sharing it with the dog).

You could also go as far as to get a water sprinkler for your dog to run through, drink from, and roll around in the mud that the sprinkler will eventually make. Mud is a natural cooling agent for your dog, so do not be surprised when it drops down and rolls in it, trying to coat its whole belly. If a kiddie pool is not an option, then soaking your dog down with a water hose would work too. Head on over to this website for the veterinary clinic Colorado Springs to discover more.

Frustration does not even begin to describe how your feels when it is in limbo (going into heat, but there being no mate to be found). This is not a good state of mind for your dog. Spaying or neutering is essential if your dog does not have access to other dogs when it goes into heat.

A dog can get very moody, grumpy and uncooperative if it has to suffer through your indecision to fix it or let it mate.

If you leave your dog in limbo for too long, you may see your dog become withdrawn, or it may try to escape the confines of your yard. Make the decision as soon as possible, as your dog cannot stay in this state indefinitely. Read more on this at this website for the vets Colorado Springs.
