No matter what kind of breed you have, you definitely need to take your dog out for regular walks. If it’s been awhile, you may notice that your dog gets tired fairly quickly. What do you do if your dog gets tired in the middle of his walk anyway?
It’s important to rest if your dog makes it clear that he’s tired. Find a shady spot under a tree or see if you can walk the distance to sit on a bench. If you’ve brought along some water, let your dog drink some.
After a 10 or 15 minute break, see if your dog is ready to start walking again. If he still seems a bit tired, slow down and walk at his pace. It may take you longer to get home, but it’ll make the rest of the walk more enjoyable for your furry friend.

Responsible pet owners always bring their pets to their veterinarians for their annual health checks. Keeping a close eye on your pet’s health and wellbeing will help ensure that he will have long and happy life. Generally, it is the veterinarian who will schedule the date of your pet’s annual health check; but it is your responsibility to remember the date, although there are veterinary clinics that send out written notices or give their clients a ring to remind them of their pet’s upcoming annual health check.
Your pet’s annual wellness visit is an excellent opportunity to bring your concerns and/or questions to your veterinarian’s attention. Making a list well-ahead of time will help ensure you won’t forget anything you wish to discuss with your veterinarian. There are few things cuter than a brand new kitten! If you’re lucky enough to experience a litter of kittens, you may be tempted to keep one, but is it a good idea?
You may decide to keep a kitten for a few different reasons. First, you might just have a special connection to one of the kitties. If you breed cats, you may choose to keep one so that you can breed him later.
You can definitely keep one or more of those kittens, but don’t expect mom to be happy about it. When kittens reach a certain age, the mother cat will nudge them on their way. If the kitten stays, your cat may wonder why she hasn’t left yet!
To help your cats get along when the kitten reaches adulthood, schedule an appointment with your veterinarian North Phoenix, AZ.

Did you know that parrots enjoy music? Some parrots even have unique musical preferences! Even though parrots love listening to music, there are some kinds of music that your feathered friend isn’t likely to enjoy.
Dance music doesn’t usually go over well with parrots. They tend to like listening to vocals, and dance music doesn’t usually have any. If it does, the voices are so garbled that your bird probably doesn’t even register it as singing. Plus, the heavy beats and upbeat tempo can create anxiety.
Love heavy metal? Chances are, your bird doesn’t! Not only does heavy metal tend to be loud, which can be off-putting for a bird, the beats and fast rhythms can be disturbing to your pet’s ears.
Most birds love pop and classical music! To learn more, click here, or co

Every pet parent dreams of teaching their dog to stay, and actually having their dog follow their command! However, this trick is a lot more difficult to teach. Here’s how to get your dog to stay.
Start small at first by only asking your dog to stay for a few seconds. As you continue practicing, ask him to stay for a few seconds longer each time.
After you feel confident that your dog will stay when instructed, it’s time to add an additional challenge. Start over by asking him to stay for just a few seconds, but take a step away from him. Continue this portion of training until he doesn’t move when you begin to step away.
Soon, you can ask him to stay for longer while taking more steps away from him.

Petting a cat with long, luxurious hair is a wonderful stress reliever. Unfortunately, all that hair can cause problems too. If your cat seems to get clumps of litter stuck in his long hair every time he visits the box, it’s time to give these tips a try.
First, try, switching up your cat’s litter. Nothing is worse for long hair than traditional clay litters. Instead, give a crystal litter a try! Some brands even make special, long hair crystal cat litter that is completely safe if inhaled or ingested. The best part is, it doesn’t stick to long hair like clay litter does!
If you’re still having trouble, or if your cat just can’t seem to keep his backside clean, you may want to consider trimming him. Shaving him is also an option.
For help keeping your cat groomed, ask your vet Glendale, AZ for a list of groomers in
