Don’t feed your pet pug any later than two hours prior to its bedtime so it will have sufficient time to use the toilet. Meal times should be regular; this will help you with the toilet training process. During bed time, replace the water in your pug’s dish with ice cubes. This will allow it to satisfy its thirst without consuming a copious amount that will stimulate it to use the bathroom.

Should your pug create an “accident”, do not scold, yell at, or punish him for it. This will only serve to frighten and traumatise it. You can express displeasure without raising your voice. If more than a second has passed since the accident or you don’t catch it in the actual act, reprimands are futile as it will no longer remember what it has done.

Given the sheer number of cages out there, one rule of thumb that’s simple enough to keep in mind would be to choose a cage that is as big as possible and that is within your budget. This will surely make your pet parrot happy.

There’s no shortage of colours, shapes, styles and sizes of cages out there. Keep in mind that a round cage will not be beneficial for your pet parrot as they can disturb it psychologically and cause it to become disoriented. Consider the distance between cage bars as well as smaller birds might get their heads trapped.

It is ideal to choose a cage wherein your pet parrot will be able to perch from the top. This will make it feel confident and secure as it uses that space as a launch pad for flying.

If you need to transport your frog, move them into a plastic box lined with either damp paper towels or sphagnum moss. Be sure that the box is properly ventilated and that the temperature hovers at around 25 C to keep your frog comfortable. If the weather is cold, place the plastic box in a container that provides insulation.

Before purchasing or bringing home your pet frog, its housing should have been set up at least a week prior to ensure that the humidity and temperature are at the levels that they should be. Keep they terrarium away from any source of heat or drafts.

White’s tree frogs can be kept in groups and they will require a tall enclosure so that they can jump as they would in the wild. A terrarium with dimensions of 80cm H x 40cm W x 60cm will adequately and comfortably house six frogs.

Cooling off during the sweltering days of summer will be much more fun if you can have your canine friend as your swimming buddy. Teaching your dog to swim is a great idea especially if there are a lot of dog-friendly lakes or pools within the vicinity.

You may have to teach your dog   some basic lessons in swimming, particularly if he has never experienced the activity before.

To avoid distractions to your dog, you must choose an area of the lake, river or pool wherein there is not much noise and activity. You can start by walking beside him in shallow areas and let him get used to having his feet wet.

Your dog’s safety must always be considered. Never leave your dog in the water unattended. He should be outfitted with his own life vest or jacket and should be leashed all the time to keep him from swimming too far out. Giving him ... Read more »

Majority of parrot experts and breeders claim that any hardly any problems ever rise when attempting to wean baby parrots onto hard food.

Nonetheless, at this time, it is best to use a formulated complete pellet or diet. Because the pellets are crunchy and colourful, they usually do the trick of attracting baby parrots and what often starts as play time ends in the baby being completely weaned.

Weaning diets are available at pet stores or perhaps at your local vet clinic. Never attempt to wean a baby parrot by starving it. Not only do you risk endangering its life, chances are that the method will be ineffective as well.

Overall, feeding the baby parrot should be done until there is no longer any nutritional or psychological need for it. The easiest type of parrot to wean would be the lory.

If you have ever had a Christmas where you got your child, or sibling, a new toy to play with that was remote control…your cat probably was terrified.

If you place an object that is remote-controlled in front of a cat and start moving it around, your cat will likely attack it, as it is a foreign object that looks completely unfamiliar.

A cat’s seen a thousand things, and a toy robot isn’t one of them.

To avoid your cat being too wary around this toy, don’t move the toy right off the bat. Let your cat examine it for a while, sniffing it and circling it, then start making very slow movements with the toy. (Nothing fast, because fast and sudden is what throws your cat’s instincts into attack mode)

If you want to know more about other artificial objects cats don’t like, or you just have questions about cats in general, you can visit this website for the veterinary clinic Du ... Read more »
