Why do Cats Attack Certain Toys?

If you have ever had a Christmas where you got your child, or sibling, a new toy to play with that was remote control…your cat probably was terrified.

If you place an object that is remote-controlled in front of a cat and start moving it around, your cat will likely attack it, as it is a foreign object that looks completely unfamiliar.

A cat’s seen a thousand things, and a toy robot isn’t one of them.

To avoid your cat being too wary around this toy, don’t move the toy right off the bat. Let your cat examine it for a while, sniffing it and circling it, then start making very slow movements with the toy. (Nothing fast, because fast and sudden is what throws your cat’s instincts into attack mode)

If you want to know more about other artificial objects cats don’t like, or you just have questions about cats in general, you can visit this website for the veterinary clinic Dunedin.
