If you consider yourself an amateur or beginner at breeding parrots, feeding a chick on its first day of life may be an unforgettable experience for you. Unless you have access to spoons suitable for day old chicks from a parrot breeder, you may use an eye dropper for this same purpose.

You will need a high intensity lamp as it is imperative that you are able to see the chick and its mouth very clearly. If the room is cool, use an infrared heating lamp so that the chick does not become chilly. 20 C with a heating source is an ideal environment for baby chicks.

Absorption of the yolk by the chick will last for eight to hours and you can provide it with warm water during this time as well. Be sure that the crop does not become completely empty between feedings.

The Yorkshire Terrier is considered the most popular toy dog breed in the US. As the breed’s name implies, these small dogs originated from Yorkshire, England where they were first bred to kill rodents in clothing mills.

Being a toy breed, they typically weigh four to seven pounds. The breed’s most distinct feature is their straight, fine, and shiny hair coat which is often grown out long and parted down the middle of its back. When allowed to grow long, your pet will need to be brushed regularly.

Yorky’s don’t shed as much thus they make good pets for people who are allergic to dogs and dander. Sometimes the breed is classified as hypoallergenic.

The Yorky’s small body belies an active and bold dog that needs to be trained not to bark too much. He can be quite stubborn and won’t like walking on a leash and can be difficult to housebreak.
