Don’t feed your pet pug any later than two hours prior to its bedtime so it will have sufficient time to use the toilet. Meal times should be regular; this will help you with the toilet training process. During bed time, replace the water in your pug’s dish with ice cubes. This will allow it to satisfy its thirst without consuming a copious amount that will stimulate it to use the bathroom.

Should your pug create an “accident”, do not scold, yell at, or punish him for it. This will only serve to frighten and traumatise it. You can express displeasure without raising your voice. If more than a second has passed since the accident or you don’t catch it in the actual act, reprimands are futile as it will no longer remember what it has done.
