It’s really important to keep your cat’s bowl full of water. This is especially true in the summer when the temperatures can get hot and overheating is more common. Here are a few tips to make sure your cat always has something to drink.

Plan to rinse and refill the water bowl every time you feed your cat. That means you should be watering him at least twice a day. If you notice that the bowl is empty when it’s time to refill it again, consider getting a different bowl.

One thing you don’t want to do is purchase a giant bowl and fill it infrequently. Cats won’t drink water if it’s old and tastes bad. That means refillable water bowls are out, but a cat drinking fountain might be a good solution!
