2:55 PM Ticks in Rex Guinea Pigs |
If you allow your Rex guinea pig to have free time outside in the grass then you should probably check him for ticks and other parasites before bringing him back into the house. If you find a tick on your little cavy, give your vet a call and ask how you should remove the tick and treat your guinea pig. It’s important to make sure you remove the entire tick. Any part of the tick that is left behind could cause infection or other health concerns for your Rex guinea pig. If your Rex hasn’t been outside, but you still find a tick call your vet. Other pets in your home may have brought the tick in. Make sure you check all of your pets for additional ticks. Talk to your veterinarian Flushing, MI about keeping all of your pets up to date on flea and tick prevention. Click here to know more. |
