7:19 AM Getting a Feline Friend for your Kitty |
A cat can become bored if you are out of the house for a considerable period of time regularly. A bored cat can become a fertile ground for negative behaviors to develop. One excellent solution to this potential problem is to get another cat to keep your resident kitty company. Playing and interacting with each other will surely enrich their daily lives. Introducing two young cats are easier than introducing adult cats. When younger cats are introduced to each other, the lesser will be the adjustment period and the higher chances of getting on harmoniously. If you are introducing a young kitten to an older cat, let the new kitten stay in a secured room for a few days as he gets used to the sights and sounds of his new home. Make sure to put in food and water bowls, a litter box, some toys, and a comfortable bed. This will also give your resident cat enough time to adjust to the presence of the new kitten. Introductions should be made gradually and always be quick to spot signs of aggression. Bring your cats to a Scottsdale vet for regular check-ups. Click here for more info. |
