It’s important to keep your Siberian hamster warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Hamsters, in general, can overheat quickly. Hamsters are particularly prone to heat stroke if they become too hot. To avoid this, always make sure your Siberian hamster has access to clean, fresh water. In addition, make sure your hamster has areas in his cage where he can burrow and dig in order to stay cool as well. You can also make sure your hamster has a sand bath to play in as this will also help him to keep cool. Above all, never keep your Siberian hamster’s cage near a window where he can easily get too hot too fast. If you’re not sure what to do and you think your hamster might be too hot or appears to be lethargic, call your veterinarian Scottsdale, AZ right away for treatment information and instructions. If you want to share a happy home with your dog, it’s important that you set some ground rules. This is especially true if you don’t want your furniture destroyed.

First, decide if your pet is allowed on the furniture. Some dogs may be so large that they will destroy the furniture simply by jumping up and down. Other dogs may smell a little funky, and that smell could be transferred to a couch that’s covered with absorbent fabric.

If you decide that you’d like to allow your dog on the couch, you should still develop boundaries. It’s a good idea to teach your dog to jump on the couch only when he’s invited. You should also train your dog to jump off the couch at your command.

A heavy flea population can be bothersome for cats in general, but more so for cats that are allergic to flea saliva because they can suffer from extreme itching. Wounds caused by persistent scratching can eventually develop into crusty sores, often with loss of hair all over the cat’s body.
