Puggles are produced when a pug and a beagle are mated. While puggles have faces that are less flat than that of pugs, their faces are often very short, an anatomical aberration that increases their vulnerability to important health issues shared by canine breeds with short muzzles (brachycephalic dogs). These dogs have difficulty keeping their body cool during hot weather because of their inability to breathe efficiently.
Aside from respiratory problems, puggles are also known for their loud snores. Even when awake, their breathing appears to be labored and noisy. These dogs are also prone to reverse sneezing, protruding eyes, and tracheal collapse, health problems that they share with other brachycephalic breeds.
Puggles have inherited the zest and energy of beagles, traits that can really make the breed’s respiratory problems worse. Their enthusiasm and liveliness can challenge their lung’s capacity and their ability to breathe efficiently.

The tight curly hair of curly-coated retrievers comes in either black or liver color. These dogs have simple grooming needs; most need an occasional bath using mild dog shampoo and water.
Curly-coated retrievers are smart. They were originally bred to be used as working dogs. They can be quite stubborn and a bit naughty, thus they will need a firm and consistent alpha leader to keep them disciplined and well-behaved. These dogs will benefit from lots of physical activity and mental stimulation every single day, without which, they can easily get bored and develop undesirable behavior. They love to go on long, energetic walks or romps in the dog park. They also love to swim and will enjoy time in the river or lake. These dogs make ideal pets for people who are outdoorsy types and have active lives.

Pet rabbits grow well in a home environment that allows them to engage in natural behavior. However, a good percentage of pet rabbits are overweight or obese as a result of inadequate physical activity, an unbalanced diet, and a plethora of health problems. Rabbits need to spend time outside of their enclosure to play and move around. These are opportunities to burn excess energy and keep them active. Carrying excess pounds can increase a rabbit’s risk to serious health problems that can affect their health and wellbeing.
Rabbits that live sedentary lives are also at risk of suffering from problems affecting the digestive tract. They also tend to have a weak bladder, which is an important factor in the development of urinary tract disease and formation of bladder stones. More often than not, pet owners who see their dogs scratching and biting itself think that their pet has fleas. Sometime this assumption is correct. Upon closer examination, you can see fleas scurrying along the skin surface. These wingless parasites are ubiquitous but a heavy infestation can be eradicated using a good flea prevention program not just only during flea season but throughout the entire year.
Some dogs and cats are hypersensitive to flea saliva; even a bite of a single flea can trigger an allergy reaction commonly called parasitic dermatitis or allergic dermatitis.
On the other hand, ticks rarely cause itching, scratching, or allergic reactions. Heavy infestations however can often lead to dermatitis and ulcerations that are slow to heal.
Other parasites that have been implicated in skin problems of dogs and cats include various species of skin mites, such as sarcoptic, demodex, and cheyletiella.

Rabbits are more playful than many people give them credit for. Here are a few fun toys and games that your rabbit will enjoy.
Rabbits love boxes! Cut a hole in the side and let your furry friend hop inside. You can also open the top and fill the box with bedding, shredded paper, toys, and treats. Your pet will love digging his way to the bottom!
Believe it or not, but parrot toys make great rabbit toys too. They are usually made of nontoxic wood and plastic. Buy a few and watch your bunny roll them around in his cage.
Looking for a fun game to play with your pet? Play chase with your bunny! Follow him around a corner and watch your rabbit chase you as you walk away!
Your veterinary clinic Warminster, PA can provide you with more playtime tips.

Horses can be a lot of work, but it’s well worth it, as long as you know exactly how often your four legged friend should visit the vet.
Horses need the help of a professional vet more often than many other animals. While dogs and cats may only have to visit the clinic once a year, a horse should be looked over by a vet every six months or so. They are likely to need vaccinations during this time. Horses also need regular dental care, and a six-month checkup can ensure that your pet’s mouth is clean and healthy.
If your vet administers deworming medication, you’ll have to visit every eight weeks or so. If your vet also doubles as your farrier, you’ll have to stop by every six to eight weeks.
To schedule an appointment for your horse, call your veterinary clinic Matton, IL.

Dogs can become bored quite easily. Even if your dog isn’t bored, accidents can happen anyway. What should you do if you come home and discover that your dog has been naughty?
Accidents can be frustrating, which may lead you to punish your dog. This is a very bad idea. Negative reinforcement isn’t very effective, especially if you’re trying to punish your dog for something he did in the past. For example, if you rub your dog’s nose in his potty accident, he won’t associate it with going potty inside. Instead, he’ll associate it with you getting home!
Instead, you have to figure out why your dog behaved the way he did and fix it so it doesn’t happen again. If he had a potty accident, maybe you should consider installing a doggy door.
