Cats can engage in some very annoying behavior. Positive reinforcement is always the best option, but it’s not always the most practical. Is it okay to spray your cat with a water bottle?

If it can be avoided, you shouldn’t squirt your cat with a water bottle. It’s extremely uncomfortable for your furry friend. And, if you don’t do it right, your cat can associate the squirt with you instead of his behavior.

If you feel like you need to use a squirt bottle, make sure you use it thoughtfully. It should only be used while your cat is engaged in the unwanted behavior. Never squirt your cat after the fact.

In addition, a single squirt will do. More than one and you could compromise your relationship with your pet. To learn more, click here, or call your veterinarian West Mobile, AL.

Trimming your Bearded Collie’s nails is part of the overall health and wellness of pet care. Knowing when to trim your pup’s nails can be difficult to decide. A general way to tell if your Bearded Collie’s nails need trimming is if the nails are touching the ground when standing or if they stick out over the pad of the paw. Keeping your dog’s nails trimmed or filed is an important part of their overall health. When a dog’s nails are too long they can break off which can cause pain. Overgrown nails can also change the way your Bearded Collie walks as well. If your pup needs his nails trimmed you can do it yourself or you can have your vet do it at the next checkup. Some local grooming salons will also take walk-ins when it’s just a nail trim. Talk with your veterinary clinic Fox Chapel, PA for assistance.
