During a Power Outage, Place Your Candles up High and out of the Reach of Your Cat

Cats do not usually go too close to candles because they do omit heat, but being safe is always a priority. Your cat, not paying any attention to a burning candle, may knock it over by accident with its tail or from jumping off a surface near a candle.

Your best defense against accidents like these is to only buy candles in metal tins or glass jars. They are heavier, they burn longer, and are not restricted to certain spots they can be placed for use.

With any type of open flame, never leave a burning candle unattended, for your cat’s safety and yours.
