If you are standing in close proximity to a dog, whether it is yours or not, watch its body language. If the dog seems relaxed, and it is happily approaching you, then this dog is of a friendly nature.

If the dog has its back up, it’s growling, and/or it is backing away from you…then this dog is angry and it is possible it may want to attack you.
