1:02 AM Your Puppy’s Feeding Regimen |
Puppies have a lot of growing up to do, thus they will need three meals each day, preferably following a daily schedule--7 a.m., lunch at noontime, and at around 5 p.m. You might think that dinner at 5 pm is too early, however this will give your puppy adequate time to digest his food and attend to the call of nature before sleeping. This feeding schedule should be followed as much as possible until your pooch is between 14-18 weeks old. During this time, your puppy’s meal schedule is changed to twice a day. If you have no idea how much food your puppy should receive each day, you can refer to feeding guidelines that accompany the product or ask for help from your veterinarian. The amount of your pet’s daily ration is highly dependent on his life stage. Make sure to give only premium quality dog food to boost your puppy’s growth and development. Avoid overfeeding for this can pave the way for your pet to put on excess pounds and become overweight or obese. If you have any questions about your puppy's nutritional needs, talk to your Indianapolis veterinarian. Find out more from this link. |
