4:55 PM Walking your Black Lab in the Summer |
As the warmer months approach you may want to start re-thinking your regular walking routine for your Black Labrador. Taking walks in the middle of the day may no longer be an option. Your vet may recommend keeping your Black Lab indoors during the day and waiting to take him out for a walk in the evening when the temperatures drop. Or, you may want to take your dog out for a walk first thing in the morning before the sun gets too warm. If you have to walk your dog in the hot part of the day because of scheduling, please be cautious of the heat. For instance, make sure your dog is well hydrated before, during and after the walk. Keep your dog in the shade when walking. Your veterinary clinic Haleyville, AL may also recommend taking water on your walks even if it’s a short walk. To know more, click here. |
