At some point you will need to take your cat to the vet for routine well visits or when she is sick. Indoor cats sometimes freak out when they leave the house so you will need to help your cat get used to both her carrier and the car. Leave the carrier on the floor with the door open and a few treats inside. Allow her to explore the carrier. Practice closing the door for a few seconds at a time until she becomes comfortable. Next take your cat in the carrier out to the car. Sit in the driveway for a while and then take short drives. Talk to your cat while driving to keep her calm. On the day of her vet appointment, keep things as calm as possible and do your best to not alarm her. Have all your questions written down so you can keep the visit short.
