1:16 AM Caring for Your Hamster's Feet |
Your rabbit’s feet are so tiny that it’s easy to overlook them, but they require your attention too! Here’s how to care for your hamster’s feet. First, be smart about the toys and accessories you purchase for your furry friend. Avoid running wheels with metal bars. They can catch your hamster’s feet while he’s running, causing a twisted ankle or worse. You should also look for running balls with very small slots for ventilation. The holes shouldn’t be big enough for your hamster’s tiny nail or toe to get caught. To keep your hamster’s nails neat and trim, consider placing a rough stone underneath his water bottle. Because hamster nails are so tiny, it’s not a good idea to try and clip them. For help taking care of your hamster’s feet, click here, or call your vet Central Jersey, NJ to learn more. |
