Cats can be fascinating and sometimes peculiar creatures. Your veterinary clinic Tigard, OR can tell you that cats are certainly unique in many of their behaviors and character traits. For instance, did you know that most domestic cats sleep at least 70% of the day? When cats take a cat nap they don’t take a quick little nap to get through the day; they literally sleep the day away. In addition, 15% of their day is spent grooming. If you own a cat or multiple cats you’ve probably seen them grooming constantly. Hygiene is of utmost importance to a cat and apparently so is sleeping. If your cat doesn’t appear to be getting enough sleep or you’ve noticed he is sleeping the entire day away and no longer active, call your vet right away. It could be your cat’s normal routine or your cat could be coming down with something. To know more, click here.
