One thing that is important to know about pet iguanas is that climbing and hiding are some of the activities that they love to do. With this in mind, make sure that your iguana has a selection of surfaces it can use for climbing. Some recommended materials include sterilised branches, rocks, and plants.
Provide it with a basking lamp as well and use a branch angled at 10 to 30 degrees for it to lie on. Your iguana’s tank should also be layered with substrate such as butcher paper, brown paper bags, aspen shavings, or paper towels. Do not use anything else as this may endanger your iguana should they ingest or inhale it by accident.
Use a heat pad underneath half of the aquarium to keep your iguana warm when it feels the need to bring up its body heat.

When it comes to turtles and their sight, turtles are obviously much more adapted to sight in the water than they are on the land.
This does not mean that they are blind, however, as turtles are able to see, and quite well, on land.
A turtle uses a special eyelid built into its head, a “third eyelid”, if you will, that filters impurities in seawater to help them better see, which an incredible blessing in and of itself is. When a human opens their eyes underwater in salty water, it stings our eyes something terrible and forces us to shut them again. We lack this third eyelid as a filter.
If you would like to find out more information regarding turtles and their other unique abilities that make them so worthy of study, you can follow this link to the website of the veterinary clinic Glen Bernie.

Different dog breeds retain distinct traits and behaviors that allow them to perform well and fulfill their purpose. Thus, there are canines which are excellent household pets, hunters, watch dogs, herders and guard dogs. Distinctive traits make each of these breeds of dogs stand out from the rest of the canine kingdom.

An owner who is familiar with his dog’s barking will instantly sense there is something wrong—whether there is an intruder or it’s just a passing squirrel that caught the dog’s attention. Watch dogs also bark to scare off trespassers and discourage them from venturing into your pet’s established territory. Some of the most common watch dogs are French Bulldogs, Chihuahua, and the Boston Terriers.
