Believe it or not, but rabbits are extremely intelligent and social creatures that can easily be trained!

When training your rabbit, use plenty of treats and toys, but do not use negative reinforcement. Rabbits are prey animals and are easily frightened, and a frightened rabbit isn’t trainable.

Short training sessions are best. Start with 5 to 10 minutes a day. Choose a simple command at first. For example, you may want to start by having your rabbit come on command. Just make sure you start with a very short distance and reward your rabbit with treats for the right behavior.

You can also clicker train rabbits. That way, you can gently wean your rabbit off of treats but still get the trained response.
