Birds like to be the center of attention. If you have a bird at home, make sure you provide him with plenty of toys and opportunities to keep himself busy. For instance, toys for the cage may include the hanging wooden toys that have bells on them and string hanging from them. Birds love chewing on wood and string. They also enjoy hearing the bell ring. If your bird is especially vocal he may imitate the sound of the bell too. Providing different perches in the cage is also a good way to keep your bird entertained. Mirrors in front of the food and water bowls work too. Toys for outside of the cage may include a little ball to roll or push around. Creative toys that you can store treats are also great toys.
