Korat cats originated in a Thailand province called ‘Korat’. It is included as one of the 17 “good luck” cats of Thailand. The shimmering shine of the cat’s hair coat projects a ‘halo effect’ brought about by the distinct silver-tipped blue color of the hairs. They can make good pets for most people who are allergic to cats because they are not known shedders. Another prominent feature of Korat cats is their unique head structure, that is the presence of five “heart shapes”. This distinct shape becomes more prominent in mature Korats.
These cats are full of energy but they make good pets for kids because they tend to be gentle around them. They can easily form strong bonds with their owners and are most happy to spend time cuddling or staying close to their owners.

If you love snuggling with your puppy, you will certainly be conscious of how he smells. Puppies are very curious creatures and love poking their noses in anything, even decaying organic matter. Snuggling with a smelly puppy can really be unpleasant.
This won’t really be much of an issue if your pet spends most of his time indoors but it will be a different issue when your pet is allowed outdoors. Since it is not recommended that pets be bathe every day, washing your pet’s face properly between baths is one of the best ways to keep him smelling good. With lots of positive reinforcement, cleaning your pet’s face won’t be as much of a challenge. Many puppies hate a full bath; however they will learn to tolerate having their face wiped gently.
Use a damp cloth to gently wipe your pet’s face to remove dirt or debris. To make these sessions positive experie

Your cat needs a litter box in your home and you are happy to provide her with one. How can you select and upkeep the ideal option for your pet?
Your little fur ball needs you to be able to understand that the placement of her litter box matters to her quite a bit. This means that you need to choose an option that is not only easy for her to get into and an appropriate size but is also able to be placed in a convenient location. This should be easy for you to clean, as your pet will only feel comfortable using it if it is kept in great shape. This should also be able to utilize a litter your pet is comfortable with, so you will need to think about this prior to purchasing as some litter boxes are made for specific types of litter. For more information, please contact your local Upper Arlington, OH veterinarian.

Dogs with tear stains are quite unsightly to look at, especially those with light-colored hair. The characteristic reddish-brown color of the stain and moldy scent is actually caused by the presence of bacteria and red yeast. Excess tearing creates a favorable environment for these microorganisms to flourish. Thus identifying the cause of excessive tearing is essential so it can be addressed immediately. Excessive tearing may also be caused by infected tear ducts.
Washing your dog’s face everyday can help remove the stain. Be sure to avoid getting shampoo into his eyes for it can further aggravate the irritation. Blow dry the area, setting the hair drier on cool to warm. There are also tear removal pads which offers a convenient way to remove tear stains from a dog’s face.

The dangers of secondhand smoke to humans are well documented and these same dangers apply to your cat too. Secondhand smoke can be even more dangerous to your cat because she stays in the inside, smoky area at all times. Nicotine and tobacco toxins settle on surfaces in your home where your cat can absorb them when walking or lying down on these surfaces. Your cat will also ingest the toxins when grooming herself or companion cats. The best course of action is to make your home smoke-free to protect your cat. Otherwise, open the windows often to air out your home. Wash all surfaces especially clean items often to remove tobacco toxins. Clean your cat with damp washcloth or commercially available kitty wipes. Empty ashtrays promptly so your cat doesn’t get into the ashes, or eat or play with the butts. Walking your dog is a great way to get him to exercise while giving you an opportunity to bond with him. However, it is no fun at all if your dog drags you around the neighborhood by his leash. Thus you need to teach him to walk nicely with a slack leash. Start walking your dog when he is alert but not overly excited. Keep walking as long as the leash is slack. If the leash becomes taut, turn around quickly and head in the opposite direction. Call your dog and hustle so he needs to hurry to keep up. Repeat this procedure over and over as needed. Soon he will get the message that he needs to walk nicely with you while the leash is slack. Never yell at your dog or punish him while he is learning. Talk with your vet Marshall, TX to learn more.
