11:04 PM Living with Another Cat |
In order for two or more cats to live harmoniously under one roof, there should be enough space and food for everyone. Since cats are solitary creatures, your pet will need space to get away from the others from time to time. They will also need free access to food, water, litter box, and their bed without having to intrude on another cat’s established territory. This is quite important if you are still in the process of introducing a new cat to your house cat. Cats are highly territorial, a behavior which can make introducing a new cat quite difficult. There will really be some cats that will only be friendly with cat they grew up with, and may have a difficult time accepting new cats into the household. Some cats will also be stressed when they don’t have enough room to avoid a cat they don’t like. Thus, you may see aggression and marking behavior in your pet cats. You should seek professional help from a Bainbridge Island veterinarian if you are dealing with any aggressive behavior of your pet. Check out this website to know more. |
