One way to build a good relationship with your dog is having a regular grooming time which must always be a positive experience. You need to provide a grooming experience that your dog will enjoy so you will not meet any negative reactions from your dog when it’s grooming time.

To remove any undesirable happenings during grooming, you must take full control of the situation.  You should not allow any unwanted actions to surface such as biting, escaping, snarling, etc.  Put a stop to any of these behaviors as soon as possible so it won’t worsen into more challenging problems.

If your dog behaves violently during grooming time, then it would be wise to put a muzzle around his face.  This can make him realize that what he’s doing is not allowed and must be stopped. When he calms down, remove the muzzle and reward him accordingly.
