Your pet needs you to stay by his side whenever you can in new and different situations. This allows him to judge what’s going on around him by the way you react to it. If he sees that you are calm and collected, he is likely to be as well. If he seems to need some reassurance, offer it to him. Show him what is appropriate given the circumstances for behavior and help him understand what’s happening.
