Cats can be very funny animals, and sometimes they know it.

Cats obsess over very small, fast things, such as mice, squirrels, birds, and the such, but with human technology playing bigger roles in a cat’s life, you may notice them doing the same kind of “playing” with things such as windshield wipers.

Cats view the act of playing with small, quick objects as a “game”, and it usually amuses them greatly.

So, if you want to see your cat have some fun, and you know your cat will love it, stick ‘em on your vehicle’s dashboard and flick the wipers, or put your cat in your living room and run a fake mouse on string.

Cats enjoy all of these things usually…there are some who, at the end of the day, couldn’t care less. It’s not that there’s something overly wrong with them…they’re just a bit lazy.

No, your dog is not learning how to do this from cows…it’s a natural instinct shared by many animals. Cows are just more known for doing it because they are most often seen doing this.

Dogs ‘graze’ because they use the grass as roughage to help them defecate. The grass helps them move their stool along through their body. It’s almost like nature’s Metamucil.

All animals do this for this purpose, but certain animals, such as cows and such, actually use it as a food source, whereas dogs get assistance with their bowels.

Cats also do this for the same reasons, but an additional reason is that it helps them cough up fur balls as well.

So if you see your dog eating ample amounts of grass, do not be overly worried. Only be worried if your dog is eating nothing but grass.

Silent whistles are a fairly cruel device to use on dogs, as they are not silent at all…in fact, they play a tune so high-pitched that we are actually incapable of hearing it.

However, to a dog, the noise is one of the most grating and harsh and torturous noises they can possibly hear. This is why dog trainers use silent whistles, as a way of training dogs. This method, however, screams cruelty to dogs.

There are ways you can teach a dog to do things without having to resort to such a device. Dogs are creatures of obedience, and if you show your dog plenty of love and affection, your dog will want to obey your every command.

If your dog has done something it shouldn’t be doing, then it may anger or amuse you to know that your dog knows it’s doing something wrong, especially if you showed it that what it was trying to do is wrong…but here you are. You’ve found your dog rooting through your “alone-time” magazines, even when you’ve expressly identified to your dog that that cabinet’s a no-go.

The best way to tell your dog did it even though it knew it was wrong? Your dog tucks its tail between its legs, comes up to you, sliding on its stomach…and the whining. The dog whining is the biggest tip-off.

To ensure that it does not happen again, you must be firm and discipline your dog.

To find out how best to discipline your dog and make sure it doesn’t do such again, go to this website for the veterinary clinic North West London.

Inappropriate elimination in cats is caused by various important factors that should be identified in order to address the problem. It is a cat’s instinct to use the litter box to relieve himself; and if your cat is now trying to steer clear of his litter box, there must be something wrong.

  • Stress

Stress has been identified as a major cause of inappropriate elimination. Cats may experience stress at some point in their lives, and reducing these stressors can benefit your cat.

  • Box Factor

Lagomorphs such as rabbits, and rodents such as guinea pigs and chinchillas, benefit much from dental and oral care. For herbivorous lagomorphs and rodents, a diet that consists of tough fibrous roughage will give them something to chew on and keep their teeth’s growth in check. A diet that does not require much chewing will result in uneven surface of the cheek teeth causing spikes of enamel to grow on the outer and inner surfaces of the teeth. These spikes can be extremely painful and often result in excessive salivation, incapable of closing the mouth, reluctance to chew, and consequently reduced food intake.

Since there are relatively limited procedures and treatments for dental disorders in lagomorphs and rodents, prevention is still the best way to go. There should be regular examination of your pet’s teeth for abnormalities. A balanced diet is also important in enriching your pet’s diet. If you see abnormal growth in your pet’s mouth, or shows ...
