Due to their small size, many tiny dogs can get bullied by larger dogs. Here are some ways you can keep your small dog from being attacked.

Stay away from areas of your neighborhood where you know an aggressive dog lives. Even if the dog is fully fenced in, mean dogs can cause anxiety for your pooch.

The same is true if you’re walking on a sidewalk and approach another large dog that isn’t completely controlled by the owner. Switch sides of the street or gently bend down to pick up and carry your little dog until the other dog passes.

Whenever you leave your dog in the yard, make sure that the latch on the gate is firmly closed and there is no way for your dog to get out or another dog to get in.
