Cats love to climb for fun! Especially when it comes to small spaces, climbing to the tops of bookshelves and tables helps them burn energy. Their musculoskeletal system has evolved to enable them to become the perfect climbers, so they want to do it often.

Instead of discouraging this behavior in your feline friend, encourage it by providing many vertical spaces for your cat to climb. Cat trees are always a great choice, but sturdy shelves hung on the walls can also do the trick.
