The use of halters for puppies is highly recommended. It is usually paired with a leash. Unlike collars, there is even distribution of the pressure exerted on the puppy’s body rather than being concentrated on the pup’s fragile neck. There are also puppies which are able to slip off their collar by pulling against their leash. When properly fitted, there is less chances for a puppy to slip off from his halter.

There are various styles of halters available. The most common one is the H-harness which is designed like the letter H, with the top and bottom of the letter joined together forming two circles connected by the middle part. Even if a cat spends a good part of his day grooming, he will still need your help to meet his grooming needs. You can easily accomplish this task if you have the right grooming tools and you know how to use them properly. In addition to nail clippers, brushes and combs, and toothbrush, there are also other grooming supplies that will make the work easier.

Rubber grooming pads and grooming gloves – these can be fitted over the hand and used to remove dead hair from short-haired cats.  You can also use them to massage your cat’s skin.

Pet wipes and sprays – these are disposable towels and sprays useful for a quick touch up or in lieu of a full bath. Wiping your pet with a moist towel will help reduce dander. Some moist disposable towels are added with Aloe Vera and vitamin E to keep your kitty’s coat soft and shiny.
