Harnesses are usually chosen because they can keep a dog from pulling during a walk. If you’re looking for a quick fix and you don’t mind that your dog has to wear a harness every time you head outside, consider a harness with a back clip. It will drastically cut back on pulling behavior.

If you’d like your dog to eventually walk without pulling while wearing a regular collar, use a front clip harness. It prevents pulling too, but it’s designed for training, not comfort.
