2:26 PM Should a Dog with Fleas Sleep in Your Bed? |
Fleas aren’t all that uncommon, especially among canines. If you have a dog, you’ll have to deal with fleas at least once at some point in his life. If your dog does end up with fleas, should you keep him out of your bed? If you catch the problem quickly, you shouldn’t have to worry about being overrun by fleas. They aren’t able to survive without a host, and humans don’t make good hosts. If you discovered fleas and treated the problem right away, your dog can sleep in your bed. If you’ve let the problem get out of hand, or if you have more than one pet at home, it’s not a good idea to allow your animals in the bed with you. If the infestation gets bad enough, the fleas will leave your pets and move into bedding, waiting for someone to come along. Your veterinary clinic Aurora, CO can tell you more. |
