Do you own a swimming pool? Does your Golden Retriever enjoy spending time around the pool? If so, there are a few rules you may want to keep in place to encourage pool safety for your pup. You should always assume your Golden cannot swim or cannot swim well. Accidents can happen in a matter of moments. Make sure your pool is secured behind a fence or gate so that your Golden cannot have access to it without supervision from people. If your Golden can swim and enjoys time in the pool, make sure he’s always supervised. In addition, be sure to rinse his coat with regular hose water afterwards to help remove chlorine.
