3:58 AM How to Diagnose Schiff-Sherrington Phenomenon in American Wirehairs |
Cats that have trouble moving about could be suffering from a variety of conditions, illnesses, or even diseases. If your American Wirehair is having trouble moving around or appears to be in pain when moving around, call your vet to set up an appointment. If your vet suspects your cat of having Schiff-Sherrington phenomenon, a disease affecting the spinal cord, then he will need to conduct a thorough exam starting with a complete history of your American Wirehair’s health. You will need to describe your cat’s symptoms and when and how they first appeared. A complete physical exam of your cat will be conducted along with blood work, a biochemistry profile, urinalysis and electrolyte panel to rule out any other conditions with similar symptoms. A CT-scan and MRI scan may also be conducted to view the cat’s spinal cord and possibly locate the lesion. Talk with your veterinarian Glendale, AZ for further details. |
