12:19 PM Feeding your Dog in the Colder Months |
Did you know that your dog may need a little less kibble during the colder months of the year? When it’s too cold to take your dog on regular walks you and your pup may spend a little more time sitting at home and less time on the move. Moving less causes calories to build and extra pounds to build up on your pup. This is often called ‘winter weight gain.’ With this in mind, you may want to start feeding your dog less during the fall and winter months. You can use your activity levels as a way to measure whether your dog should eat more or less. You can also talk with your veterinarian Folsom, CA to figure out the best amount of food to give your dog during the slower, cooler months. In addition, you could feed the same amount of regular food but cut down on the treats instead. Learn more here. |
