A lot goes into setting up the perfect litter box. You have to find a box that your cat actually likes, and you have to find litter he actually likes. Now you just have to know how much of that litter to put in the box.

If you have a very small kitten, you don’t need much litter at all. An inch ought to do it. That way your furry little friend doesn’t end up sinking into the litter when he goes potty!

When your cat gets older, he’ll need more litter. Strive to keep a few inches in the box at all times. When you scoop, make sure you replace the litter that you removed.

Keep an eye on your cat and pay attention to his litter box habits. Some cats like more litter while others don’t. Try catering the amount of litter in the box to your pet’s preferences.

You will soon be bringing a ferret into your home, and you have thoroughly researched all his care needs. This is how you found out that ferrets are active during their waking hours and love to play. How can you make the most of this time with your new little fur ball?

You will need to take the time to offer your pet plenty of activities to pass the time. In his enclosure, this should include toys he can play with on his own. During his supervised time outside of his enclosure, make a point to get him up and moving with some active play. Ferrets are quite smart, so feel free to gradually expand on the games you play. He will be particularly interested in activities that involve hunting and tunneling skills, as these are where he naturally excels. You were probably relieved when you first brought your baby home and you realized that your cat wasn’t interested. But as the months go by, and your cat still isn’t interested in the baby, you may be worried. Should you be?

Most cats don’t like babies. They avoid them because they’re noisy, unpredictable, and they don’t have gross motor skills. Babies aren’t good at petting cats, they don’t feed cats, and they don’t scoop litter boxes, so your feline friend has no need for your infant!

As your child ages, the cat will slowly come around. In the meantime, be patient, and provide your cat with private areas in your home where he can retreat from your child when he feels stressed out.

If you’re still worried about your cat’s behavior, you should schedule an appointment with your veterinarian Bee Cave, TX.
