6:21 PM Feeding Crickets to a Reptile |
Many common reptiles require live crickets at least once every couple of days. Follow these tips and tricks when it’s time to feed your scaly friend. Most pet stores offer crickets for sale. Before you make a purchase, determine how many you’ll need. Crickets don’t survive for very long in the bag from the pet store, so try to purchase only the number of crickets you need. If you don’t want to make frequent stops at the pet store, you can keep them at home by placing them in a container and providing them with cricket food. By placing cardboard toilet paper tubes in the cage, it can be much easier to catch the little critters when it’s time to place them in your reptile’s cage. Contact your veterinary clinic Stafford for additional dietary requirements and additional information on feeding crickets to your reptile. |
