6:26 PM Does your dog act differently when you’re out of the house? |
You love spending time with your dog, and you really enjoy coming home to see him happily awaiting your return. However, a lot of the times when you enter the house, you notice things that make you worry about your pet. It seems that he gets into more trouble when you are away, and acts in a manner that you don’t see when you are home with him. Why is this? If your pet is taking part in destructive behavior while you are out but remains perfectly behaved while you are home, he may be experiencing separation anxiety. This means that he is having trouble being away from you, and is going out of his way to find things to occupy his time and help calm him down. Since he doesn’t need to engage in these behaviors when you are nearby, you will likely never see him take part directly. Your local Racine, WI vet can offer more information.
