3:01 PM Can My Cat have Fruit? |
You should never feed your cat grapes or raisins as these can be toxic. However, your cat will probably not accept fruit from you no matter what kind your try. Cats do not have taste buds to detect sweetness and will not be drawn to the flavors of fruit. If you feed dried fruit, again, stay away from grapes and raisins. Your cat should really stick to a diet of recommended dry or wet food. Snacks and treats can be given throughout the day, but they should only make up a small percentage of your cat’s overall diet. If you want to give your cat a treat, then buy treats from the pet store or vet that is specifically designed for a cat’s gentle digestive system. If you do experiment with fruit, check with your veterinarians Western Orange County, FL ahead of time. If your cat has any reaction to food given, please call your vet immediately. |
