Socialization is important to all dogs. Many pet parents spend a lot of time socializing their dog to humans, but it is also important to socialize your dog with other dogs.

It’s never too late to socialize a dog, although you have to move more slowly with an adult pup. Introduce your adult dog to one dog at a time, encouraging calm behavior. When going for walks, ask your dog to sit to calm him down if he gets worked up by a passing dog.
