Every day, your adult cat needs to be fed one large meal or two to three smaller meals.  On the other hand, kittens from 6 to 12 weeks need to eat at least four times a day.

It is essential to choose a good quality, brand name cat food product. If you are using canned cat food, make it a point to throw away any leftover food after 30 minutes. But if you are giving dry food, you can keep it available whenever you pet likes to eat. Your pet should also have access to fresh, clean water at all times.
