Every day, your adult cat needs to be fed one large meal or two to three smaller meals. On the other hand, kittens from 6 to 12 weeks need to eat at least four times a day. It is essential to choose a good quality, brand name cat food product. If you are using canned cat food, make it a point to throw away any leftover food after 30 minutes. When offering treats to your feline friend, don’t be too generous, since these are viable sources of additional calories. Most commercial treats are rich in fat and sugar.
