Taking your Pomeranian on walks in the summer can be a lot of fun as long as you go for walks at the right time of day. Don’t try and take your pup out for a two hour walk during the middle of the day when the sun is at its highest and so are the temperatures. If possible, plan on walking your pup early in the morning or later on in the evening. Your dog will enjoy a more cooled outing outdoors if you can go at these times. Never keep your dog outside for long periods of time in the summer. If you must take a walk in the middle of the day, make sure you keep your Pomeranian in a shaded area and provide him with access to plenty of water.
