My Puppy Won't Eat

In general, your puppy should be eating around three or four times a day once he reaches about eight weeks of age. Typically ½ a cup of puppy food is sufficient three times a day. If your puppy isn’t eating one of his meals don’t worry he may be trying to cut himself back. Try again at the other meal. If your puppy skips two or more meals for a day give your vet a call to find out what you should do next. In some cases your puppy may need a little help with the food. For instance, try adding warm water and mashing it up a bit to make it easier on his teeth. Watch his water intake to make sure he’s at least staying hydrated. Be sure to note your puppy’s bathroom habits and let your vet know. For additional information about your puppy’s eating routine, consult with your vet Frisco, TX.
