Although they don’t sleep all day long, cats love to nap, so you’re likely to come across him while he’s sleeping during the day. What do you do if he’s in the way and needs to be moved?

If it can be helped, try not to move your cat. If he’s snoozing in a living room chair or on the couch, but there are plenty of other places for you to sit, just let him be.

Sometimes, not moving the cat isn’t an option. He could be lying in your spot on the bed when it’s time to go to sleep, or lounging in your office chair when it’s time to go to work. If so, gently pick him up and place him on the floor. It’s even better if you can lay him down comfortably in another sleeping spot.
