7:58 AM Helping Your Pet Cat Deal With Stress |
Physical activity is a great way to help your kitty deal with stress. In addition to expending excess energy, playtime can also be relaxing and help your kitty regain emotional balance. Playtime with your kitty should be about 10-15 minutes at least once in the morning and another in the afternoon or evening before bedtime. Make sure to wind down the activity in the last couple of minutes so your kitty can gradually calm down. Always offer your pet his favorite treat to signify the end of each play session. To keep your cat’s interest in his toys, hide some of his favorite toys and only take them out for playtime. Make sure to put keep them away after every activity. To keep his interest and curiosity, try rotating the toys every few days. Bring your cat to a Oakdale veterinarian for regular checkups. Click on this link for more info. |
