If you have a dog that bolts for the door every time it’s opened, you understand what a struggle it can be. Fortunately, you can train your dog to stop running for the door.

First, understand that any training regimen takes time and patience. If your dog doesn’t do what you ask at first, that’s okay. Keep trying.

When he gets good at sitting and waiting, you can then invite him to come outside with you for a walk. To learn more dog training tips and tricks, call your vet Hackettstown.
