Ferrets are known for sneaking into tight spaces, so be sure to that all small areas are blocked off. If this is too difficult to do throughout the entire house, section off a room that you can make safe for your pet. Be sure to keep small items out of your pet’s reach, particularly those he could choke on or accidentally ingest. Remove all items that your pet may chew on and cause harm to himself, like electrical wires. Also be conscious of places that your pet could become entangled.
